About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Commissioning Engineer to join our team, supporting the delivery of major power and renewable energy projects across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or develop your career in the energy sector, gaining hands-on experience in the commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems on large-scale construction projects.
Working under the guidance of experienced commissioning engineers and project managers, you will play a key role in ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, execution, and documentation of commissioning activities.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to achieve successful project delivery.
- Learn and apply industry best practices for commissioning renewable and power infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and technical documentation.
What We’re Looking For
- A recent graduate, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in the power, renewables, or construction sectors.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work on-site across Scotland with some travel and overnight stays.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and eagerness to learn.
