Snr Planner

Senior Project Planner – Milan

Projects don’t fail because people don’t care.
They fail because the plan didn’t survive contact with reality.

We’re looking for a Senior Project Planner who knows the difference.
This is a role for someone who can take complex, multi‑disciplinary construction projects and turn them into clear, credible programmes — then defend, manage and adapt those programmes as the project moves from paper to site.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, site leadership and Main Contractors, providing fact‑based insight that supports better decisions. When there’s risk, you’ll see it early, call it clearly, and escalate it when needed.

What you’ll be doing Planning & Programme Ownership

  • Develop, manage and maintain fully integrated construction schedules from early planning through delivery
  • Build labour‑loaded programmes aligned with commercial budgets, highlighting misalignment early
  • Produce S‑curves, histograms, drop‑line schedules and planning reports that are clear and actionable
  • Support bid and tender programmes where required

Coordination & Influence

  • Act as the primary planning point of contact for Project Managers
  • Facilitate planning, coordination and look‑ahead meetings
  • Work with Main Contractors and Client Management Teams to negotiate and agree achievable programmes
  • Present schedules to construction teams to ensure full understanding of sequencing and priorities

Control, Risk & Performance

  • Measure and track progress, productivity and efficiency on a weekly basis
  • Forecast outcomes and provide early warning where risks or delays are emerging
  • Identify constraints, pinch points and programme risks, escalating appropriately
  • Support informed decision‑making through clear, fact‑based advice

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior planners where required
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and ways of working
  • Maintain high standards of information security and compliance

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience as a Project Planner or Senior Planner within construction or engineering environments
  • Proven ability to develop and manage complex, labour‑loaded construction programmes
  • Confidence working with Project Managers, Commercial teams and Main Contractors
  • Sound judgement — knowing when to challenge, influence or escalate
  • Clear communication skills and a practical, solutions‑focused mindset

Why this role?

Because this isn’t a reporting role that sits on the sidelines.

You’ll have real influence over how projects are planned, negotiated and delivered. You’ll be trusted as a professional advisor, not just a scheduler. And you’ll work in an environment where good planning is recognised as critical to project success.

If you’re a planner who wants your work to matter — this role is worth a conversation.
