The Role: Senior Project Planner
As a Senior Project Planner, you will play a key role in driving project success by leading the planning, scheduling, and progress-tracking of complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed construction schedules in line with project objectives
- Provide real-time insights and risk analysis to project managers and stakeholders
- Lead and mentor junior planners, supporting their professional growth
- Monitor and track progress, performance, and labour efficiency
- Collaborate with main contractors and internal teams to optimise project schedules
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in planning processes
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project delivery
What You Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of planning experience in the construction or engineering industry
- Strong background in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent planning software
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple project schedules and provide accurate forecasting
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financials
