We’re now looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of technical delivery on a major live construction project.

This role suits someone who’s comfortable turning design intent into a fully functioning installation — someone who spots problems early, keeps technical conversations moving, and doesn’t panic when commissioning starts narrowing the margins.

What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Electrical Engineer on a flagship data centre project, you will:

• Review electrical designs with a critical, detail‑driven focus, identifying gaps or clashes before they become site issues
• Validate cable sizing and technical selections, balancing safety, compliance, and practical buildability
• Lead technical assessments and resolve issues efficiently to keep delivery on schedule
• Prepare and manage electrical technical submittals through the full approvals process
• Track procurement, delivery, inspection, and verification of equipment
• Represent engineering in supply‑chain and coordination meetings
• Maintain accurate system trackers aligned with the construction programme
• Work closely with BIM teams to ensure designs are buildable, maintainable, and accurate
• Coordinate with designers, suppliers, and vendors to confirm correct plant and system operation
• Conduct electrical walk‑downs to verify installations against drawings and specifications
• Compile and manage test packs, FTOPs, and O&M documentation through to approval
• Oversee specialist vendors during commissioning to ensure timely, compliant completion
• Deliver client training in line with the agreed handover and operations plan
• Maintain high standards of information security in line with the Kirby ISMS
