We’re looking for an Electrical Quantity Surveyor who actually knows what they’re doing — someone who understands that commercial success isn’t a slogan; it’s the difference between a profitable project and a painful post‑mortem.

If you can keep a project financially honest from tender right through to final account, keep subcontractors in line without starting a small war, and still make it home with your sanity intact… we should talk.

What You’ll Actually Do (not the fluffy version):

• Build and manage BOQs, budgets, profit plans — the stuff that keeps the business alive.
• Run commercial meetings without anyone needing to call HR afterwards.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, retentions and payments — accurately, fairly, and on time.
• Produce interim and final accounts that don’t require a decoder ring.
• Spot commercial risks early (ideally before they set fire to the margin).
• Collaborate with the Planning Engineer so progress reports reflect reality, not optimism.
• Handle remeasures, dayworks, variations and claims without breaking a sweat.
• Keep meticulous records, because “I thought someone else had it” doesn’t hold up in adjudication.
• Negotiate with clients or reps in a way that’s firm, fair, and occasionally persuasive.
• Bring a sense of urgency, accuracy and pride to your work — speed without sloppiness.
• And yes, comply with ISMS. Because nobody wants to explain a data breach.

Who You Are: You’re someone who can think commercially, communicate clearly, and prioritise without being micromanaged.
You handle pressure without turning dramatic, make decisions without dithering, and can say “no” without writing a three‑page essay about it.
You’re not here for noise. You’re here for results.
