ROLE PURPOSE
Are you an IT enthusiast with a knack for problem-solving? Kirby Group Engineering is currently looking for a IT Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide Level 1 and 2 support to Kirby Group’s 1,500 IT users who are based in Ireland, the UK, Europe and South Africa, manage our IT infrastructure, and ensure seamless operations. With your expertise, you’ll handle everything from Office365 administration to cybersecurity incident investigations.
  
KEY TASKS, ACTIVITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
– Provide Level 1 and 2 support for users
– General administration of the software, hardware, network, and security infrastructure
– Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary changes to ensure uptime
– Office365 / Teams / Sharepoint Administration
– Manage Group policy / inTune policies
– Active Directory / Entra AD Management
– IT Asset Management
– Procurement of ICT equipment
– Administration of file and print servers
– Storage / Backup management
– Support of meeting room AV systems
– BIM360 / ACC Management
– Network management and monitoring
– Investigate cyber security incidents
– Monitor and moderate email queue
  
ESSENTIAL BASIC EXPERIENCES/QUALIFICATIONS:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
– A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role.
– Industry Certifications desirable (MSCA, Network+, MCP etc)
– ITIL Certification desirable or relevant work experience to ITIL Standards
– A current driver’s license and own transport is required
– Willingness to travel to sites and offices (sometimes at short notice)
