BIM Lead

BIM Lead — Data Centre Projects
(For people who know BIM isn’t “just drawing lines in Revit”)

If you’re the person the BIM Engineers already come to when something isn’t behaving the way it should — this role will feel familiar.
And if you’re used to being the one who quietly fixes coordination issues before anyone on site even realises there was an issue — even better.

We’re hiring a BIM Lead to run the digital coordination side of major Data Centre projects. You’ll be the bridge between BIM and operations: the person who makes sure what’s designed is actually buildable, and what’s being built has actually been coordinated — in an environment where precision, resilience and speed are non‑negotiable.

It’s a role for someone who can lead, guide, support, and occasionally save a project from itself.

What you’ll actually be doing
Not the buzzword version — the real version.

  • Leading the BIM coordination on Data Centre projects from start to finish
  • Supporting and overseeing BIM Engineers (they’ll look to you)
  • Being the point of contact for PMs and site supervisors on all things BIM
  • Reviewing EIRs and developing project BEPs that people can actually follow
  • Project setup: WBS splits, folder structures, Vault/BIM 360 workflows
  • Managing coordination schedules, risk registers, information request logs
  • Producing high‑quality 3D models and 2D drawings
  • Ensuring clash‑free models and running clash detection regularly
  • Building and maintaining the federated model
  • Attending coordination meetings and guiding teams towards practical solutions
  • Supporting on‑site clash resolution
  • Ensuring record drawings are issued accurately and on time
  • Maintaining drawing registers and documentation
  • Helping implement improvements and drive efficiencies through technology

This is a role where you won’t just deliver the BIM process — you’ll shape how Data Centre projects are coordinated.

Who you’ll work with
You’ll report to the Lead MEP Coordinator, but day‑to‑day you’ll be working closely with:

  • PMs
  • Site supervisors
  • Engineers
  • The wider BIM team

In other words: the people who shape the outcome of the project.

What you’ll bring

  • A degree in Engineering, Architecture or Design
  • 3+ years’ BIM/coordination experience
  • Mechanical or Electrical background
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to deliver under pressure without sacrificing quality

Competencies that matter
Not the corporate wallpaper version — the real essentials:

  • Results‑focused thinking
  • Commercial awareness
  • Strong relationship‑building
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Resilience
  • Ability to bring a team with you

Why you’ll thrive here
You’ll shape coordination on complex Data Centre builds, develop deeper technical and design knowledge, and grow into a fully rounded project coordinator.
And yes — you’ll be the person who makes the project run smoother, smarter and more efficiently through proper BIM execution.
