ROLE PURPOSE
The IT admin will be responsible for supporting the office and regional staff in all aspects of software and hardware issues relating to our computer and IT networks.

KEY TASKS, ACTIVITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Application support
  • Hardware / software troubleshooting
  • New device imaging (laptops / mobile phones / tablets etc.)
  • Configuration and installation of necessary hardware (routers, wireless access points, printers etc.)
  • Contract management (ISP, print management etc.)
  • Procurement of ICT equipment
  • Administration of file and print servers via VMware ESXiNTFS permissions
  • Group policy
  • Active Directory (user / group maintenance)
  • Storage monitoring
  • Source ICT equipment as required by remote users / office staff / sites
  • Track orders from placement to delivery
  • Backups
  • Veeam (server) and Druva inSync (desktop)
  • Backup verification
  • Restore data
  • Log all new ICT assets (laptops, phones etc.)
  • Proactively update asset state as required (in use, disposed etc.)
  • 5 dedicated video conferencing rooms
  • Teams / Zoom etc. call support
  • Complete maintenance audits with HAS group as required
  • Mitel phone system
  • Extension and license management

Network Monitoring

  • Cisco Firepower (network rules)
  • AlienVault USM (SIEM)
  • Cisco Meraki (SD-WAN)
  • Proactively monitor network access and resolve issues

Information Security

  • Monitor computer networks for security issues
  • Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents
  • Document security breaches
  • Work with security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard

  Mobile Device Management

  • Meraki SM / Intune
  • Monitoring and enforcement of security policies

ESSENTIAL BASIC EXPERIENCES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A third level qualification in a relevant network or systems course
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role as a system administrator or similar
  • Microsoft Qualification (MCSA or MCP) or equivalent
  • A current driver’s license and own transport is required
  • Willingness to travel to sites and offices (sometimes at short notice)
