Role Purpose
The role is as part of the Business Systems Development and Support team based in the Kirby Limerick office. The team proactively collaborates with internal stakeholders and third-party providers to manage business software applications.
This role involves working across all business functions and process areas building and automating data and reporting capability. Activities encompass end user support, system administration, development and rollout of data analytics and reporting solutions, implementing automation and other continual improvement initiatives.
Business & Data Analyst Responsibilities
In conjunction with your team, you will be responsible for the execution of tasks to include:
- Proactively develop the Kirby Business Systems Development and Support functions
- Undertake System Administration activity to set up and maintain users on Business Systems
- Collaboratively manage support tickets including interpreting support requests and identifying corrective actions
- Work with third-party software consultants and developers to communicate, manage and proactively close out system issues together with the testing and implementation of system initiatives and updates
- Assess and interpret business data and information needs identifying reporting requirements and opportunities to add value
- Interpret and build business data sets
- Develop and deploy dashboards to collect and present data-backed insights
- Advise business management on best practise analytics, data and reporting models and maintain research on industry initiatives and developments in this area
- Work cross-departmentally on data-driven strategies that improve business processes and decision-making
- Work across functional Kirby teams and third-party software providers to develop, test and implement identified reporting solutions and strategies
- Specific support for and develop subject matter expertise on all Kirby functions (to include Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Procurement and HR)
- Lead activities to further develop and maintain user guides, update process documents and training materials
- Coordinate, deliver and report ongoing training activities
- Other day to day support for colleagues and the Business Systems Development & Support Manager
Necessary requirement of the Business & Data Analyst
- Appropriate degree or professional qualification
- Relevant experience working with ERP software and or other technology solutions
- Experience developing improvement scenarios, operating procedures, and documenting processes
- Data modelling experience (desirable)
- User of and exposure to data and reporting tools (Microsoft Power BI, SQL, other)
- Strong computer literacy (MS Office)
- High personal motivation, self-starter with proven ability to work on own initiative
- Demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Possess a positive, flexible work attitude (with ability to travel)
