Accounts Assistant | Limerick  (12 Month Contract)

The Role
The purpose of this role is to assist in the Accounts Payables department of Kirby Group Engineering based in the Limerick office.
 
KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Reporting to a senior accountant  
  • Candidates MUST have experience of using Microsoft Excel and an ability to learn new bespoke software packages
  • Candidates should ideally have a good working knowledge of VAT.
  • Candidates must be able to meet weekly/Monthly deadlines and be able to work well under pressure
  • Candidates must be able to work under own initiative when required and be able to perform tasks as part of the overall accounts team
  • Candidates should have experience with inputting of purchase invoices to software, ability to work with month end reconciliations and other ad-hoc accounts duties
  • Candidates will be expected to liaise with Kirby site staff and Kirby office staff to ensure accuracy in all invoices and to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Good telephone manner is essential

 To be considered you will:
 Have:

  • Minimum 2-3 Years’ Experience in a similar Role.
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Previous office environment experience
